Great Adventures Green Island Ocean Swim 2016

The annual Great Adventures Green Island Ocean Swim is back again this year, with competitors taking on the 1.5km and 3km course, as well as the new 500 metre swim.
This unique Great Barrier Reef competition takes place on the leeward side of the island with each leg of the event offering a variety of conditions from shallows to wind chop and tidal flow. Water temperatures around d this time of year average a balmy 24 degrees, with warm air temperatures around 28 degrees.
The Great Adventures Green Island Swim is a community event and is supported by Surf Life Saving Queensland and the Cairns Crocs. To register your interest, please contact our central reservations department by phone, email or fill out the form below. You will receive an email shortly thereafter confirming your registration and the amount due on check in on September 11th 2016.
Please note spectators are welcome, and can be registered to travel at a discounted rate. The Nippers swim is a great way for under 12s to get involved too, and has no registration fee.
