In a positive environment that is part of the culture in TriMotivate you will learn to swim bike and run leading up to a triathlon with the best in the business.  You will learn about bike maintenance, safe riding routes and cycle safety, run technique, swim technique and even open water training to help best prepare you for your race – the sprint or enticer events courtesy of the local Cairns Crocs Triathlon Club

 This program was made possible with the support of the Cairns Crocs Triathlon Clubs, the Community Benefit Fund, FNQ Health and Endurance Sports and TriMotivate Performance Triathlon Coaching.

What do I get?

A 6 week customised program each week based on my starting point and event, inclusive of strength work.

  • 3 x weeks of ladies only group sessions, held on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday @ 5:30pm

  • After your ‘graduation, you can then settle in to mixed group sessions held on 5 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 5:30pm and Saturday 6:30am

  • A total 24 group sessions

  • A custom program for 6 weeks

  • Your club membership and insurance of the 6 week program

ABOUT YOUR COACHES

Meet Renee Ker, Head Coach and owner of TriMotivate Performance Triathlon Coaching. She will guide you on your journey. Renee is a Level 3 Performance Coach with Triathlon Australia and an accredited Ironman Coach. She has represented New Zealand in Age Group Multisport and placed 5th in the world.

Renee will lead most of your training sessions, with support from Coach Damen Coad, a former multi-Ironman competitor at the World Championships in Kona, USA. Both Renee and Coach Damo understand the needs of new athletes, focusing on foundational techniques as well as advancing performance as athletes progress. Together, they create a supportive environment to help athletes succeed.

Saturdays 🚴‍♀️ Cairns Cycling Track or road riding

🧑‍🎓Graduation time! Then for the next three weeks, starting Monday 14th of July

Monday’s 🏊 Tobruk Pool - 5:30pm

Tuesday’s 🚴‍♀️ Cairns Cycling track - 5:15pm

Wednesdays 🏃‍♂️ Barlow Park or Esplanade - 5:30pm

Thursdays 🏊 Tobruk Pool - 5:30pm

Saturdays 🚴‍♀️ Open water training, running or cycling - 6:30am - 7am start

 Requirements

If you are aged 14 years old to 100, you are welcome to join us!    $100 fee for 6 weeks (heavily discounted)

Entry fee to swimming pool each week

You will need Triathlon Australia Membership, membership to the Cairns Crocs and FNQ Health and Endurance Sports (don’t worry it included in the price).  If you decide to continue then your Crocs and FNQ Health and Endurance Sports remains current until the 30/06/2026. 

So, what do I need?

  • Bike – any will do providing its safe, serviced and working

  • Helmet

  • Sunglass

  • Run shoes

  • Appropriate swim wear and goggles

Optional

  • Cycling shoes

  • Triathlon suit

  • Road bike

If you decide to buy a triathlon suit you can do that but not necessary for your first event
